I am a mom who has been researching work from home opportunities since around 2004, prior to the birth of my second child. I worked full-time outside the home both before and after having my first child but found working and being a mom mentally exhausting.
I eventually quit my job and built my first website while I was pregnant with my second child but for various reasons returned to working full-time again for a few years. Working from home was still a dream in the back of my mind and I re-started my research in 2008. I went back to building websites and trying to earn an income primarily through affiliate marketing but with very limited success.
By 2010 I found myself unemployed (the old “workforce reduction”) and decided to not look for a new job but instead give working from home my all. At the time I write this it is 2011 and my success is still small but growing. I’ve made mistakes and I have seen fads come and go, but the freedom of working from home is too great to give up on.
This website is just a natural extension of all the time I have spent studying work at home opportunities. It takes time to sift through all of the information out there, good and bad, and the field is constantly changing. Since 2008 when I really started concentrating on earning an income from home we have seen the economy continue to slide downward. What that means for people looking for jobs from home is less opportunities because companies have less money and more competition because many of the unemployed decide to try their own hand at working from home.
I hope the information I share here is of some assistance. I will try to keep things as up to date as I can. If you have any questions or suggestions for the site, please contact me via the contact form.
